Assessing the Use of a Video to Teach the Laplace Expansion Theorem in Higher Education

The increasing use of learning videos in Higher Education (HE) have revolutionizing the traditional teaching environment. b-Mat@plicada is a b-Learning Mathematics course mainly composed educational that HE students Portuguese Institution can used for their study as complement face-to-face lectures. In previous research, an experiment was performed classroom context, where 49 watched video on Matrix Multiplication replacement explanation. Then, they were asked to solve individually exercise, and respond survey assessing attitudes, perception, satisfaction. present study, 63 participated similar with Laplace Expansion Theorem, specific didactical approach used. Beyond comparison between results two experiments, findings this revealed most achieved leaning objectives appreciated quality terms image, sound, clarity useless. necessity contents also expressed, clarify doubts remember contents. However, all considered cannot replace classrooms, due importance Teacher-Student dialogue.
